A Mother Hips Experience
Born right here in Chico, CA, The Mother Hips are a beloved institution and "college band" from back in the day....... How exciting that they warrant a tribute band dedicated to their music!

Isaac Parsons (original bassist/co-founder of the Mother Hips) & Robby Dean (Ryder Thieves) had a notion to pay homage to the early era of the Mother Hips music. It was the 90’s. Everything was fast and loose, and the tunes reflected an era of youthful bliss and angst. “Ike and I have been talking about this project for years. We finally found the right guys that also have the passion and respect for the Hips music. It’s like a time warp, We just wanna have a good time & give these early Hips tunes some love......As Tim used to say, ‘it’s a full-blown rock show,” says Dean.
Rounding out the group with an additional guitar is Jeremy Plog (Jackie Greene/Golden Cadillacs) with Jerry Barton on drums (Officer Dick/As Yet Untitled).

Black Pine Revival
Opening the evening is a Mother Hips' longtime fan and friend, Mike Waltz, with Black Pine Revival.......... Black Pine Revival hails from the Northern California foothills above Chico, California.
Michael Russell ( Russel Turner Ward ), Grayson Katka ( Lo and Behold ), and Mike Waltz ( Electric Circus ) formed their trio in early 2023, playing music described AS Americana roots rock with a wide swing to country and blues.

Since then, they’ve honed their craft and stage presence playing to regional audiences, opening for Tim Bluhm (The Mother Hips), Hot Buttered Rum, Sean Hayes, Tommy Castro and the Pain Killers among others.

Black Pine Revival Released their debut album “Dirt Angels” in the summer 2025, this two volume set was recorded in their home studio nestled in their beloved hills above Chico ca. The music soars through smoking rhythms and high-flying guitars, and transforms on stage into a damn good time.
