Celebrating Latin Heritage month, Lost on Main is pleased to host Debajito and Cumbia Nena! This event is in collaboration with NorCal Resist. Knowledge is POWER and NorCal Resist will be there to provide educational information, community resources, and answer any questions you might have regarding the injustices that are currently underway in the US and, specifically, California.

DEBAJITO makes borderless music!
With hip-hop as the backbone, their genre-bending sound honors elements of diverse world music genres, while seamlessly transitioning from cumbia to reggae to ska to salsa to afrobeats to reggaeton to Andean music and beyond.
Their live set has a unique, danceable, and energetic sound. Formed in Chico, California in 2021, they began playing backyard boogies at the tail end of the pandemic. With members from Chile, Mexico, Peru, and the United States, Debajito takes you on a musical journey throughout the Americas and the Caribbean, moving crowds with good vibes and good times for all.
Debajito is part of the Debajo del Agua Music Collective. Their musical ingenuity is paired with lyrics in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, high-energy performances, hypnotic beats, and a message rooted in social justice, equity, and peace. Members include Pablo Kee (vocals, guitar, charango), Luis Castillo (congas, bongos, cajon, guiro, quena, zampoña, and vocals), Peter Washington (violin, mandolin, vocals), Wayne “Weezy” Moore (drum kit), Austin “Wawa Face” Petersen (bass), Dani Cornejo (vocals, guitar, cuatro), and Juan Carlos Bermejo (timbales, congas, bongo).
Cumbia Nena! is a crew of seven friends from Chico, CA making raw, trippy, street-style cumbia. Villera vibes, Amazonian psychedelia, chicha flavors — they mix it all with love, rhythm, and good energy.
Their roots stretch from Argentina, Mexico, Peru, and the U.S., and their goal is simple: make you dance — even if you don’t know how.
No rules, just rhythm.
They are a not a band.......... They are a family with instruments.
Before every set they shout: “¡Cumbia, nena!” — it’s their call to the party. Let’s go.
